About

On 2 December, 1984, a Union Carbide plant in Bhopal, India, began leaking 27 tons of the deadly gas methyl isocyanate. Safety systems were not operational, allowing the gas to spread throughout the city. Half a million people were exposed and 25,000 have died to date as a result. More than 150,000 people still suffer from ailments caused by the accident and the subsequent pollution at the plant site.

Details of The Bhopal Medical Appeal can be found at bhopal.org

Blues, alt-country and rock band Social Club will perform, supported by guest musicians. Visual artists have agreed to donate works for auction. All proceeds to the The Bhopal Medical Appeal.
