A Winged Victory For The Sullen + Moon Ate The Dark
Wednesday 2 October, 8pm
Atomos is the newest dance work by contemporary choreographer Wayne McGregor featuring original music composed by A Winged Victory For The Sullen. After a year of playing A Winged Victory For The Sullen's self-titled album, McGregor contacted Adam Wiltzie and Dustin O'Hallaran to provide the score to his new sixty-minute full-length work Atomos.
A Winged Victory For The Sullen will perform a string of warm-up dates in the first week of October, including this exclusive date in Reading, leading up to the premiere of Atomos at Sadlers Wells. This will be the last time to see A Winged Victory For The Sullen for some time, as Dustin starts work on his next solo effort, and Adam continues work on the upcoming release by the long lost Stars of the Lid.
Moon Ate the Dark return to South Street as support, after their slot at our festival DOUBLEDOTBASH! They are a duo made up of Welsh pianist Anna Rose Carter and Canadian producer Christopher Bailey. Between them they make a soundtrack to longing, memory and displacement.
All tickets are inclusive of booking fee
