About

The Abbey School is proud to present its 130 Celebration Concert to close its anniversary year.
For the very first time, musicians from the Junior and Senior Schools will showcase their talents together in an evening of celebratory music at The Hexagon.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the premiere of a work that was specially commissioned for the
occasion with lyrics written by Abbey alumna Delphine Chalmers (2017) set to music by world renowned choral composer Bob Chilcott.

As well as a fun Gilbert and Sullivan medley, the varied programme will also include a work by Lin Marsh, who wrote We’re Aiming High for the Junior School and will finish with a moving and inspirational number by choral composing duo Don Besig and Nancy Price, which will be performed by all the musicians.

Early booking is advisable as this event is expected to sell out.
