Performed by classical guitarist Robert Drury

Imagine an album entitled 'Worlds Favourite Classical Guitar Music' and you'll get a flavour of the guitar pieces Robert Drury has gathered together for his concert 'Guitarra Romantica'.

Over the years a handful of classical guitar compositions have captured the public's imagination and have gained almost iconic status. Robert will perform many of these classics including 'Cavatina' from the film 'The Deer Hunter', 'Recuerdos de la Alhambra', 'Romanza' and an arrangement of Rodrigo's 'Concierto de Aranjuez' alongside other uplifting works from Europe and South America.  Robert's engaging style of combining the music with amusing anecdotes and background to the pieces makes this a delightfully relaxed concert with broad appeal.

This is an evening when, just briefly, you can shut out the rest of the world, sit back and lose yourself in the beautiful and evocative performance of some of the most romantic and captivating guitar pieces ever written.
