Poets' Cafe is Reading's longest running poetry platform, run by South Street in association with Reading Stanza. On the second Friday of every month we welcome a guest poet who will perform alongside an open mic section which gives all-comers the opportunity to read a poem of their own.

January's special guest is prize-winning poet Ann-May Laugher. Her work has been widely anthologised. Titles include Poetry & All That Jazz, Three Drops from a Cauldron, and Sophie Hannah’s ‘The Poetry of Sex’. Online, her poems have been featured on Amaryllis, And Other Poems, Ink, Sweat & Tears and The Open Mouse. She has written for the Reading Museum project ‘A Sense of Place’ and for ‘From Palette to Pen’ for the Holburne Museum in Bath. Her pamphlet ‘Blow This’ will be published by Flarestack in 2018.

Hosted by Robin Thomas.
