Poets' Cafe - Christopher James

Venue: South Street (Directions)

Fri 11 May, 20:30

Door time: 8pm

Poets' Cafe is Reading's longest running poetry platform, run by South Street in association with Reading Stanza. On the second Friday of every month we welcome a guest poet who will perform alongside an open mic section which gives all-comers the opportunity to read a poem of their own.

Christopher James has won the National Poetry Competition, the Bridport Prize, an Eric Gregory and several other awards. His collections include Farewell to the Earth (Arc, 2011), The Fool (Templar 2014) and The Penguin Diaries (Templar, 2017). A graduate of the Creative Writing MA at UEA, he also writes drama, Sherlock Holmes novels, plays ukulele and rides a fold up bicycle.

Your host for this evening will be Louise Ordish.
