Roy Marshall’s debut pamphlet was Gopagilla (Crystal Clear, 2012). His first full collection The Sun Bathers (Shoestring Press, 2013) was short-listed for the Michael Murphy award. Roy’s poems have won prizes and appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies in the UK and Ireland, as well as featuring in the ‘Poems in The Waiting Room’ project in New Zealand. He currently works in education. Roy’s previous role as a coronary care nurse is one of a wide range of subjects, both global and local, visited in his second collection The Great Animator (2017).

Your host will be Kate Noakes, who's sixth collection is Paris, Stage Left (Eyewear 2017). Her website (boomslangpoetry.blogspot.com) is archived by the National Library of Wales and she was elected to the Welsh Academy in 2011. She lived in Reading for over 30 years.
